About Kishana

Capturing Magic Through My Lens

I’ve been a wedding photographer for eight years and love it! I started photographing babies when my daughter was born just taking fun pictures of her and other family and friends.

Out of the blue, I was asked to take on a wedding for a couple whose photographer canceled on them two weeks before the wedding. The bride was frantic (to say the least). I had never shot a wedding before. I too became frantic. But I had faith in Him I could do it. The ceremony was incredibly moving; there wasn’t a dry eye to be found. Unbeknownst to me, neither were my eyes…. that was the defining moment for me. I knew that wedding photography was my calling…it was what I was born to do.

What sets me apart from other photographers is my genuine adoration for love and weddings. I have to admit, I tend to get a little giddy when it comes to weddings but that’s because I have the BEST job in the world! I get the opportunity to laugh, cry, and celebrate with amazing people and at the end of the night, I get to eat CAKE! I tend to pay close attention to all the little details because weddings are an interesting and fun display of the couple’s personality.

My Philosophy

Putting My Couples First

I believe that you deserve my full attention not only on your wedding day but up until your wedding day. So if you have questions about the photography or if you need vendor recommendations, don’t hesitate to reach out to me.

You have put so much time and effort into planning your wedding day, I believe that it should be well documented from the invitations to the rings. My goal is to tell the story of your wedding day through my lens — preferring not to pose or stage and allowing moments to happen organically. I believe that you and your family should be able to view the images in your album and feel as if they were there for generations to come.

The Wedding Experience

Your Biggest Moments Captured, Without Interruption

Let’s Connect

Before you select a photographer, you should meet them first. Let’s connect over Zoom or FaceTime and get to know one another. Ask any and all questions you have and make sure that we are a great fit!

Engagement Session

I like to call the engagement session the “test drive.” This gives you an opportunity to become comfortable in front of the camera. You need to be absolutely sure you find someone you’re comfortable with because they’ll be with you the entire wedding day. This is also a great time to use this opportunity to test drive your makeup artist! It’s important to see how your makeup will look in your images before your wedding day.

Wedding Day

Photography isn’t just images, it is a part of your day. This moment in your life deserves to be celebrated and remembered. I like to keep everything casual. I provide very light direction so you won’t be forced to pose in unnatural ways. There will be banter and real laughter. It’s essentially an awesome adventure where someone just happens to be taking photos.
